Company is Coming: Entertaining Your Holiday Guests with Big Lots

Now that we are in the midst of December, we are heading to holiday party season and beginning to plan and prep for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and even New Year’s! I absolutely love to entertain, and one of my favorite parts of entertaining is coming up with beautiful ways to display food with unique tablescapes and come up with new and exciting appetizer recipes (it is always a plus if they pair well with wine!). This year, I’m working with Big Lots to share a few ways I’m using their products to entertain guests as they come to my home for the holidays!

WHITE SNOW PLACESETTING

As you all know, I absolutely love the neutral and on trend look of grays, whites, and silver in my house, especially in my dining room. To continue capitalizing upon this theme, I picked up some gorgeous place setting options to dress up plates and silverware I already owned.

These silver chargers automatically make normal place settings glam, and the snowflake placemats perfectly create a winter theme. I love adding a little something to each place setting, and these glam tealight holders are the perfect finishing touch.

HOLIDAY APPETIZER

While you can get all your gorgeous entertaining ideas from Big Lots, don’t forget to pick up the specialty food items for delicious hors deourves at your holiday party! One of my favorite items (and has been for a long time) is the Konex Roasted Red Pepper spread. This can be used in so many ways, including as a spread for sandwiches, added in salads, or (my personal favorite) on top of cream cheese and crackers! This is a great compliment for any holiday party or wine tasting!

HOLIDAY BARWARE

You can never go wrong with a simple bar cart for your holiday festivities. One of my favorite Big Lots finds for holiday hosting are these gold ombre wine glasses! I love them for holiday entertaining or to dress up your bar cart. While they are great for the holidays, they are also versatile for use all year long! Don’t forget to break out your Sanders’ Chocolates that are specially selected for wine pairing. There are two sets—white wine and red wine pairings!
