Ho Ho Whoa!: My Holiday Shopping Season Kick-Off Visit to Big Lots Headquarters!

I even got to meet penguins from the Columbus Zoo!

You guys, I cannot believe how lucky and blessed I am to be working with Big Lots this Holiday Shopping Season! My main Big Lots Page (click here) will continually be updated throughout the year to reflect all the posts and amazing things you can shop for in Big Lots this season—from gifting to home decor to entertaining. This is my favorite time of year, and I cannot wait to share all of it with you!

This past summer I was invited to the Big Lots headquarters in Columbus, Ohio to preview all of their amazing holiday items, get excited for the holidays, and learn more about this great company. I love supporting local Ohio companies and shop at Big Lots for home, holiday, and seasonal items all year, so it was a no brainer to visit!

Big Lots definitely knows how to welcome people, and my visit to Big Lots was BY FAR the best blogger event I have ever attended! The day was packed was delight, excitement, amazing visuals, fabulous people, great products and even giving back.

When I first arrived at Big Lots, everyone was there to welcome us into their beautiful building with snow! After being whisked into the headquarters, I was able to walk down a hallway of Big Lots Christmas lights!

Once I walked through the hallway of lights, penguins from the Columbus Zoo were there to greet me, along with lattes, breakfast, and a wonderful mood of Christmas decor!

After some introductions, we were able to walk through their beautiful and amazing headquarters to see more of their fabulous Christmas items (stay tuned!) and see their mock Big Lots store, which they referred to as their “lab,” since they do so most of their visual merchandising in this area. We were taken through each of their upcoming lines for the holidays (stay tuned for more!) and used these products to decorate a space. I loved working with my amazing team of bloggers!

I loved how our look turned out! I also want this couch for my living room!

After having fun with the Christmas decor, we had an amazing holiday lunch, all complete with Big Lots table setting and food made with Big Lots items! The food was absolutely delicious!

After lunch, we all had the opportunity to give back to the community and shop at the Polaris Big Lots anchor store in Columbus for charity! The charity I had the privilege of shopping for was Directions for Youth and Families.

To end the day, we were gifted a basket full of Big Lots items to share throughout the holiday season! There are so many great decor, food, and gift items to share throughout the season!

This was such a fabulous day, and I was so honored and blessed to be a part of it—leaving actually brought tears to my eyes!
