All About the Bag: Review of Last Year's Event and Why You Should Attend in 2018
Back in February 2017, I received an Instagram message from one of my followers who invited me to attend the "All About the Bag" event at the end of the month that benefited the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland. I had never been to the event before, but it sounded like so much fun--handbags, fashion, fun, food, and wine--my favorite combination. I was able to attend with a guest and had two free tickets to give away to some of my Instagram followers.
Since I had not started my blog yet and was just doing my basic Instagram page, unfortunately, I did not get a ton of photos :(, but I can share some and tell you about my experience and why you should attend this year. When we arrived at Landerhaven, a beautiful event center in Beachwood, Ohio on the East Side of Cleveland, it was packed! There were so many fashionable people--some were dressed funky, trendy, classic, and super formal. It was fun to scope out all the different outfits.
We immediately helped ourselves to some wine and small plates. The food was tasty and so elegant. We were able to connect with some other local bloggers and Instagram users as well.
While we waited for the formal fashion show to start, we bought raffle tickets. There were three raffle areas to enter beautiful prizes that also benefit the Hunger Network.
1). The Chanel Raffle--This was the main and the biggest raffle. You could buy tickets at the event or even purchase them ahead of time to enter in to win this prize. This was the one prize that you did NOT have to be present to win. The winner was announced at the Fashion Show, and these tickets were the most expensive. They are doing a similar giveaway this year that you can do the same thing!
2). Raffles for Designer Handbags--There were several designer handbags up for raffle. You were able to buy a strip of raffle tickets and enter in for a variety of bags, including Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Fount. There were also some other designer products and gift cards.
3). Raffles for Other Products and Services--In the main hall, there was a raffle to enter in for other services and products, such as gardening supplies, workout classes, food, restaurants, and wine. There were also some additional designer handbags, such as Michael Kors and Kate Spade up for raffle.
After we walked around and entered raffles, we also judged a fashion contest from the students at the Virginia Marti College of Art and Design.
It was time to begin to filter in for the fashion show. We found our seats and watched all the latest fashion from local malls, shops, and boutiques. There were so many celebrities in the show, including some of my faves, such as Jessica Pickle from Fox 8! Nicole Marcellino, the Q host, along with Jason Nicholas, Cleveland meteorologist, emceed the event! They are also some of my favorites.
After the show ended, we checked to see if we won anything. I think I won the prize of the night--a Louis Vuitton Neverfull bag! I was so excited--maybe one of the best moments ever! My friend, N'ecole, won OrangeTheory classes, and my giveaway winner won the Gucci bag. We all walked away winners!
We had such a great time, and I'm so honored and excited to be invited back again this year. My giveaway winner, (Instagram Handle Tiffdoh) , also purchased tickets and is going back this year too!
