Danigan Lu: Create Your Own Personalized Bracelet Stack!

Having a full time leadership position, teaching a college course, being a part time blogger, and doing everything in between keeps me a busy lady! Since this past spring, I have been trying to connect with Trish from Danigan Lu to schedule a time to experience making my very own bracelet. Due to crazy schedules, we were not able to connect until this fall, but I’m so glad that we were finally able to do so!

Danigan Lu is a small business started by two female entrepreneurs that wanted to identify trends in jewelry and allow others to express their creativity and artistic intent by creating their own bracelet. If you want to attend one of their bracelet making parties, be sure to check out their facebook page and RSVP to an event at a local Cleveland business (which often serves wine!). It is $30 to attend and make your own individual bracelet with their beautiful and unique beads. As their motto states, Danigan Lu is “Designs with a Purpose,” as 10% of the proceeds goes to the Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs, which trains dogs for service to veterans with combat wounds and those with disabilities. These dogs are provided to the individual at no cost, which is HUGE as it generally costs $25,000 and takes two years to raise a Super Service dog. There is currently a zero suicide rate with anyone that has been paired with a Super Service dog from Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs. So not only are you being able to exercise creativity, go home with a gorgeous, unique, and personalized bracelet, drink wine, and support a local small business and female entrepreneurs, you are also giving back to the community!

My first Danigan Lu event was at Wine Down & Sweets Cafe in Strongsville (which I’m definitely going back to!). When I walked in, I was greeted by a beautiful set up with trays of gorgeous beads—anything from sparkly to natural, you name it. Danigan Lu has over 180 different gemstones, beads, and charms to choose from, so every single bracelet is one of a kind.

To start, you are provided a line of stretchy bracelet string. You then pick out a variety of beads that you want to use. There are soooo many options and colors! Since you know I like my bling, I had to pick out all the pretty sparkly ones and integrated some metal beads and spacers to change up the look.

Trish recommend laying out your bead pattern before stringing the bracelet. I would definitely agree with this method, as I changed my mind several times about the beads and the pattern I was creating! After you identify your final pattern, you go ahead and string the beads. You get to tie it off with a fun Danigan Lu charm, reminiscent of other brands, so this definitely will go with your bracelet stack! You can even add other dangly charms, which I had to have a little dog paw for Cooper on one of mine!

I was able to make a few bracelets—I did one with gold, one with silver, and one with rose gold, so I got the best of all worlds. I think they are so pretty and love stacking them with my watch or interweaving them with other jewelry (or even just wearing on their own!).

Here is how I styled some of mine.

If you are looking for a great girls night out or a work event, I would highly recommend trying a Danigan Lu bracelet making party! They are so fun! You get to try out a new winery or local restaurant, socialize, give back and be creative in making your own gorgeous bracelet.

Be sure to check out their upcoming events on their Facebook page here!
