Optimal October: A Recap of a Quiet Month and What I've Been Up To!
So it’s time for my monthly recap, and as I look back, I’m a little disappointed I didn’t do more this month! And I feel like November is going to be quiet too, as I prep for the upcoming holidays and work on my home. But, since I always do a recap, I thought I would feature some of the things I did, as well as give a personal update of what I’ve been up to and what to expect to see from me in the months to come!
OCTOBER HIGHLIGHTS: DESIGNER DRESS DAYS COLLABORATION
One of my October highlights, and one of my favorite blog adventures, was the Designer Dress Days Cleveland event! I wrote an entire blog post and featured so much on Instagram, so make sure you check out both. My blog post can be found here.
One of my favorite finds was this awesome Tory Burch bag for $50!!
OCTOBER RECAP: DOOBIE BROTHERS CONCERT AT HARD ROCK ROCKSINO NORTHFIELD
I grew up listening to classic rock, and that of.course, included The Doobie Brothers. I remember sitting in the backseat of my parents 1991 blue Chevy Lumina jamming to them on cassette tape. From that moment on, I’ve been a fan. Even driving to high school, I’d take my mom’s Mercury Mountaineer every now and then instead of my Camaro and would then listen to these CDs to start off a day in my senior year in 2002. My first Doobie Brothers concert was when I was in high school at Blossom Music Center. So my second concert at age 34 was a long time coming!
As always, we had a great dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe in the casino and were able to head to the concert right after. I even had a photo opportunity with the band!
Hard Rock has always been far and large my favorite casino in the Greater Cleveland area. It is so much more than gambling. They have concerts, comedians, great food, and even great ambience. It is like a mini Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with all the rock memorabilia. I would definitely recommend getting there before it turns into MGM. I will definitely miss the Hard Rock!

PERSONAL UPDATE
So that was about the extent of my highlights for the month that are worthy of being mentioned on the blog. I’ve been busy with work, my home, and just the day to day routines. So many things got crazy, and there were many nights I was too tired to even do an Instagram post! It all caught up to me, and I got hit with a pretty rough cold after Halloween, which was basically a culmination of all the craziness of the past few months!
So outside of some fun things and all my other hectic daily activities, my main focus has been to get some things done around my house! I’ve done some small projects, but I’ve been getting the itch to tackle some bigger things. As you’ve seen from my posts, I have been working on wallpaper removal and painting! I hope to take you on my kitchen journey, as well as my adventures with other home projects! I plan to put the finishing touches on and share my previous home projects, including my guest bedroom, office, and bathroom (and items within), which are all deserving of their own blog post!
In addition to home projects, I’ll definitely have things to share in regards to Christmas decor and Christmas gifts. I’ll be sharing my recent fashion buys, my daily outfit posts, and I want to refocus on my beauty posts and collaborations.
